TransTogether After Dark

Human beings of Warwick, Leamington & surrounding areas, mark your calendars for a trans+ inclusive & trans+ ran pub night out.

TransTogether: After Dark takes place on the third Saturday of each month at the New Bowling Green, Warwick from 7:00pm until late.

TransTogether: After Dark, or just ‘TTAD’ for short, is a trans positive pub social ran by members of the community aiming to provide a safe space for a night out and build local community.

We are all about accepting everyone and every part of everyone. When we say trans, we mean anyone under the trans umbrella – non-binary, genderfluid, agender, demigender, etc. We also welcome anyone who is questioning their gender and still figuring themselves out with open arms. We do also welcome allies into this space if people want to bring a friend, partner, carer or anything along those lines; we want you to be able to show up as yourself as safely as possible. All we ask is that allies are respectful that this is a trans+ led space and we want to make sure it remains safe for EVERYONE.

We will be to the left as you enter the pub, or in the pub garden (weather permitting), we will make sure there are flags up and bar staff will be able to point you in the right direction if needed.

Accessibility:

If we are inside:

– The front entrance to the pub is wheelchair accessible but rather narrow, if you need specific measurements or assistance please let us know and we can provide.

– The area we sit in is accessible via wheelchair and tables can be moved and adjusted to make any space needed.

– Low ceilings and busy evenings mean it can get pretty loud inside, if this happens a small group of us will normally move outside where it is quieter but sometimes chilly. The area we usually move to is accessible via wheelchair by the back door. If you prefer to stay inside, then sensory aids are encouraged!

– There are alcohol free options available at the pub. It is obviously not a sober space, but we are very sober friendly and have many members who don’t drink alcohol.

– There is an accessible toilet on site with no radar key needed. Many of us use it for safety reasons due to being in a public space with gendered toilets but priority is always for those with access needs.

If we are outside:

– The flat area of the grass or patio is accessible via wheelchair from the car park (if you need help navigating let us know!). However, the path can be a bit bumpy.

– Unfortunately, when we are outside, the main pub is only accessible via a few steps or by going all the way around the way you would come in. We are happy to arrange ordering drinks for people and can help with accessing the main building for use of toilet facilities.

– Outside events generally get busier due to better weather so it can be loud, again sensory aids are encouraged.

Details for food options can be found on the New Bowling Green website. There are vegan and gluten free options available.

Any other access questions don’t hesitate to reach out. We recognise that our venue can come with a few access issues for some, but we are happy to assist wherever we can!
