Safe Haven is a new Warwickshire Pride project funded to support LGBTQ+ asylum seekers who have been placed in Warwickshire. LGBTQ+ people seeking asylum often face extreme isolation, poverty, and fear, particularly when navigating the asylum system and settling into a new area. This project exists to provide safety, community, and practical support at a critical time in their lives.
The project will ensure LGBTQ+ asylum seekers can safely access Warwickshire Pride’s groups, events, and services, helping them build community connections and reduce isolation. Alongside this, participants will receive tailored support with asylum applications and access to essential financial assistance.
