pride picnic

Stratford Pride

11:30am – Gather at the Shakespeare Fountain on Rother Street.

12:00pm – The March begins. The route is Wood Street, Bridge Street, a stop outside the RSC to celebrate with their team, and then over the river to the Recreation Ground, finishing close to the Bandstand for a community picnic.

Escape Arts will be joining us at the picnic with their van offering art activities and refreshments. Also, as part of Stratford Pride, there is all this to enjoy too!

RSC Pride Tours

The three special 60-minute walking tours will explore the LGBTQ+ stories woven through Shakespeare’s life, work and legacy, as well as the wider history of Queer narratives within the RSC – past, present and future. They will take place on Saturday 12th July at 10:15am and Sunday 13th July at 10:15am and again at 11:45am. From examining the inspirations behind Shakespeare’s iconic stories of Queer love to shining a light on the playwrights and artists who have shaped our stages, this tour is a celebration of LGBTQ+ voices in theatre and beyond.

RSC Pride Space

We’re really excited to invite Warwickshire Pride to be with us in The Other Place and Swan Gardens (after the picnic) from 3:00pm – 6:00pm on Saturday 12th July. There will be a dedicated space for us to gather, relax and use the facilities of Suzies and the building.
