Happy LGBT+ History Month from Warwickshire Pride!

It’s LGBT+ History Month! Here is what’s going on at Warwickshire Pride:

  • Social media posts about Warwickshire’s LGBT+ history. There is more of it than you might think!
  • Support groups and socials throughout the month. Head to our calendar for more details.
  • Rugby Pride Protest on Saturday 18th February outside Rugby Town Hall. Join us at 12:00pm as we remember the 1984 protest at which Chris Smith became the first MP to come out as gay. Chris Smith is now Lord Smith and he is returning to talk about what happened in 1984. Bring signs, placards, banners, flags and most importantly yourself. Check our socials and calendar for full details.

Also in 2023 we will be taking Pride on the road and doing Prides in the following towns: Stratford-upon-Avon, Kenilworth, Rugby and Nuneaton. This is in addition to the main Warwickshire Pride festival in Leamington Spa. More towns may be added, depending on our capacity.
