Neighbouring Coventry Pride festival returns in August

Coventry Pride is returning after a 3 year break. Details are in flux but it is expected to take place in Fargo Village on August 3rd with a possible march. The chair of Coventry Pride had this to say:

“Coventry Pride’s mission is to ensure we live in a city where people from the LGBTQIA+ community can feel safe and proud to be themselves, and to celebrate the diversity of our amazing city of Coventry. As new trustees and volunteers, we are working things out as we go, but we felt it really important to hold a main Pride event this year.

“There is so much hate being spouted towards the community at the moment, particularly towards our trans siblings. Pride events are as important as ever to show strength and solidarity.”
