Recruiting for volunteer and paid positions
Warwickshire Pride is looking for superstars to do their bit for Pride and volunteer at our Warwickshire Pride festival on Saturday 17th August. We’re a small team and really rely on the kindness of local people coming to volunteer. This helps Pride run smoothly.
We have the following roles available:
- Traffic management in the morning and evening.
- Showing stallholders to their pitches.
- Setting up the information stall, merch stall, education tent, bi tent and trans tent.
- Running the bi tent.
- Running the trans tent.
- Running the information stall.
- Running the merch stall.
- Stewarding the march.
- Stewarding on the festival site.
- Litter picking and recycling.
- Helping backstage – checking in performers and looking after them.
- Handing out event guides.
- Collecting donations.
- Packing up stalls and taking down decorations when the festival ends.
If you can help for any amount of time between 7:00am – 8:00pm, please email [email protected] and we’ll be in touch.
There are training/briefing sessions coming up at the end of this month and early August. This is an incredibly rewarding experience. You’ll get loads of support on the day. We’ll provide drinks, a meal (if you do at least four hours), and good vibes. We will make sure you get to enjoy the festival too.
In addition, we are also recruiting two more youth workers for our Proud Youth service. This is an exciting role running our four LGBT+ youth groups across Warwickshire.
Previous youth work experience is not essential. You also don’t have to be LGBT+. More than anything you need to be reliable, enthusiastic, open-minded, and want to have a positive impact in the live of LGBT+ young people.
