Statement from the Board on targeted harassment

We have been made aware that members of a group banned from attending the Warwickshire Pride festival last year for transphobia and subsequently arrested for a Public Order offence have been singling out a member of our board and Chair, Daniel Browne, for targeted harassment.

We would like to proudly state that the decision to ban these people from attending was unanimously taken by the board of trustees, and that no decision by the charity is made by a single person. There has to be a majority agreement before any decision is made. It is not fair that one person is being victimised because of his support for transgender people – a position firmly in line with the charity’s ethos.

Our mission is, and has always been: to ensure that all people feel valued and included in society, regardless of sexuality or gender identity. We will not waver on this.

Thank you for reading.
