Announcing more Warwickshire Pride festival performers

Along with our headliner and previous announcements, the following people will be performing at this year’s Pride Festival:

ROKAT

Rokat is a UK-based queer singer-songwriter blending poetry with electrifying synth-pop and club energy. Known for bold visuals and emotionally charged performances, he fuses storytelling with anthemic soundscapes that celebrate identity, desire, and self-expression. From intimate lyrics to high-energy Pride stages, Rokat delivers a set that’s both powerful and unapologetically authentic.

THE MOVEMENT PROJECT

The Movement Project are a group of queer ran, Nottingham based dancers who create choreographed dance performances for stages and events across the UK.

Formed just one year ago by creative director Ellie Gorski, they have performed at over 40 different events across the UK, including pride festivals, music festivals and various other events, offering Midlands based, skilled adult performers a range of performance opportunities throughout the year to enhance their professional portfolios.

The Movement Project is heavily involved in the LGBTQ+ community, with the majority of members identifying as queer, bi, trans, non binary, or of course, allies.

SASSI AFRIKA

You know, there are some acts that cost thousands of pounds to book and then there are queens like Sassi Afrika who will do it for £5 and a bag of chips on the way home. If you don’t know Sassi Afrika by now, where have you been….

Sassi Afrika is a proud, shining, non-binary drag queen with learning disabilities and cerebral palsy. Soon to release her 7th album of original songs, Sassi is a singer, dancer, actress, model, presenter, and has even turned her hand to doing a Youtube cookery show.

Having supported Warwickshire Pride since the beginning and taking on hosting duties on stage with the equally iconic Anita Bush, Sassi will be performing a set of her most well known songs (Power Bottom, anyone?) and tracks from her new album, House.

Warwickshire Pride returns to the Pump Room Gardens in Leamington Spa on Saturday 22nd August.
