Rugby Pride cancellation

We had mentioned this previously but know that not everyone has received it. We’ve had to cancel Rugby Pride due to unreasonable requirements put on the event at short notice by the council and police that we could not afford to fund or resource. It made it impossible to go ahead with the event. We’ll give more details when the headspace is there to provide it.

We are now focusing on Rugby Pride 2027 with time to fundraise and plan. We’d love Rugby folx to get involved and help stuff to happen. There will be a post about that at some point and we’ll look to hold planning sessions from the autumn onwards.

Sorry for any disappointment this has caused and for there not being more comms on this.

At the moment we are under relentless attack from the far right and elected councillors. It is taking a huge toll on the wellbeing of our small team of volunteers. It’s a lot to deal with and we are doing our best.
