Cutting ties with Lloyds Bank
When a business wants to be involved with Warwickshire Pride, we follow a due diligence policy to check it’s a business we want to be associated with.
Recently, Lloyds Bank applied for our Pride March. They have taken part for the last few years. We approved their application at that time. However, we have been sent an email that went to Lloyds staff stating a new rule that trans women must use men’s toilets and trans men must use women’s toilets. Referring back to our due diligence policy and considering the ethos of Warwickshire Pride, Lloyds Bank is now banned and will not be taking part in Warwickshire Pride events.
We stand against discrimination of trans people and all other people. We will continue to strongly support trans communities and say no to anyone who is not for trans inclusion and providing basic dignity and respect to trans people.
