Volunteer Research Assistant

Volunteering with Warwickshire Pride is an incredibly rewarding experience that will enable you to make a difference to the lives of LGBTQ+ people, as well as developing your skills. We are currently seeking new volunteer research assistants who can help us to conduct research for both internal monitoring and evaluation purposes of our services and to assist in our work advocating for the needs of Warwickshire’s diverse LGBTQ+ community. The successful candidates will report to the Board of Trustees, in particular the lead trustee for external engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and review feedback from service users, volunteers, partners, and members of the local LGBTQ+ community.
  • Carry out focus groups.
  • Carry out 1:1 interviews.
  • Analyse collected data to understand the Charity’s impact on the community and the needs of the local LGBTQ+ community.
  • Produce research reports with findings – identifying trends, success stories and challenges, drawing conclusions and recommendations.

Person Specification:

  • Experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research accurately and ethically.
  • Knowledge of the LGBTQ+ community and experience of collecting research from diverse and marginalised communities.
  • Clear understanding of impact reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work pro-actively and independently.
  • Ability to commit 10 hours a month but with flexibility regarding timings.
