Vigil for Brianna Ghey
Thank you to everyone who attended the vigil in Rugby yesterday. Under devastating circumstances, the community and allies gathered in memory of Brianna Ghey and all trans people who have lost their lives to hate.
Thank you to everyone who spoke so bravely and passionately.
Thank you to Lord Chris Smith for returning to Rugby for the first time in almost 40 years and for talking about what happened in 1984 when he became the first MP to publicly come out as gay.
Thank you to Rugby Borough Council for apologising for what happened in 1984 and also being fully supportive of what we wanted to do yesterday.
Thank you to Pride Pics for supporting the vigil.
To all trans people – you are loved. Warwickshire Pride will always be at your side.
