Warwickshire Council commissions domestic abuse accommodation open to all

Warwickshire County Council has announced domestic abuse accommodation which is equitable and accessible for all.

This is good to hear. We knew it was coming after some positive conversations with Refuge about their support for LGBT+ victim-survivors and the impression that Refuge is only for cishet women.

One of the people responsible for this service recently attended one of our LGBT+ awareness training sessions and it was really good to hear about the trans inclusive approach they are taking. We are confident in the work that Refuge is doing locally and look forward to continuing the positive dialogue.
