Some exciting news, Warwickshire Pride has been nominated for Pride Organisation of the Year at the Gaydio Awards. Warwickshire Pride Chair, Dan, is also up for Volunteer of the Year.

Thank you to Bravissimo for donating £200 to Warwickshire Pride, and thank you to RS Group for donating £117 to Warwickshire Pride.

This month at our LGBT+ youth group in Nuneaton there was an animal encounter experience. All the young people got involved and learnt a lot about the animals.

We are horrified and deeply concerned by the transphobic hate speech of members of the Conservative government, including comments made by Rishi Sunak, Suella Braverman and Kemi Badenoch. As trustees of Warwickshire Pride, we wholly condemn the comments that have been made and the ongoing transphobia in the UK.

This is good to hear. We knew it was coming after some positive conversations with Refuge about their support for LGBT+ victim-survivors and the impression that Refuge is only for cishet women.

Thank you to Warwickshire Pride sponsor The Cycle Recycler for holding a raffle to support the charity. It raised £400, which we are incredibly grateful for. Thank you to students at King’s High School too. They held a Pride fundraiser before the summer holiday and raised £141 for Warwickshire Pride.

We are now looking to collect feedback on last week’s Warwickshire Pride festival and march so that we can make next years even better!
