Thank you to Out-Out for making this statement after our Chair was subjected to abuse at Rugby Pride on Sunday. Criticism is fine. Hate is not.

Mikaela is a proud deaf, disfigured trans woman who will be performing her own songs on the main stage. Mikaela is part of Warwickshire Pride’s family of volunteers, giving her time to volunteer at our LGBT+ youth group in Leamington.

We are seeking sponsorship for this year’s Warwickshire Pride festival and are keen to build strong relations with local businesses for the benefit of LGBT+ people.

They are an improvised comedy group based in Leamington. In a first for Warwickshire Pride’s main stage, Leamprov will be performing an improvised comedy sketch live for your entertainment.

Today is the 54th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, when LGBT+ people stood up for themselves, their communities and their rights. Pride started as a protest. Pride still needs to be a protest.

Do you use apps like Grindr or Her or do you go to an in-person Queer Sports or Community Group (like a sports or book club)?

Chaos is a local covers band who are strong LGBT+ allies and will perform some crowd pleasers on the main stage.

Are you wondering what this August’s Warwickshire Pride March, Festival, and After-party will look like? We’ve finally gotten around to uploading the photos of last year’s fabulous Pride, which will give you an idea of just what might be in store.

Warwickshire Pride has been awarded a grant to begin running an LGBT+ counselling service. It will be run by counsellors who are LGBT+ and it will be donations-based for people accessing the service.

We are saying a huge thank you to Net Visibility for supporting Warwickshire Pride with online marketing for free for this year’s festival and the services we run.

While we will always listen to criticism and aim to act positively in response, we wholly condemn the abuse of any trustees, staff, or volunteers, who all work hard to facilitate LGBT+ groups and events across Warwickshire.

Costs rise every year, as do people’s expectations. If you can help by donating it would really help us.
