Warwickshire’s LGBT+ History
In 2013, Sassi Afrika became the first drag queen to perform on Leamington Spa’s bandstand. It was her first performance on Earth (she’s from outer space, in case you didn’t know).
Sassi Afrika has since gone on to become the main stage host at Warwickshire Pride. She has released five albums or original songs to date, achieving sales in over 60 countries around the world, and continues to perform on any stage that will have her.
